Cremora Tart:
Hey everyone, here’s another one of my mom’s fabulous recipes! This tart recipe pairs perfectly with a strong cup of coffee. It’s super sweet and incredibly addictive. The best part? It’s simple, easy, and requires no cooking or oven. I know, you’re probably thinking, “Wow, this must be a conspiracy.” But nope, it’s just another one of my mom’s miracles!
What youll need:
- 500 ml Coffee Mate (Cremora if your in South Africa)
- 250 ml boiled water.
- 1 and a half packs of Rich Tea Biscuits (Tennis Biscuits for South Africa)
- 3-4 tbs melted
- 250 ml Lemon juice.
- 2 cans of condense milk
- Chocolate of your choice, Flake works great or even grated cadbury
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together 500 ml of Coffee Mate/Cremora and 250 ml of boiling water until well combined.
- Place the bowl in the fridge and leave it to cool for about 1-2 hours. If there’s some foam on top, don’t worry—it will disappear once the mixture is finished.
- While you wait, crush the biscuits and mix them with the melted butter. Use a casserole dish to form a base for your tart at the bottom of the dish.
- Gradually add the condensed milk to the mixture, stirring continuously. Do this little by little, not all at once.
- Slowly add the lemon juice while mixing. You can use the entire 250 ml bottle, or just 200 ml if you prefer. Continue mixing until the mixture is nice and thick.
- Pour the mixture into the casserole dish, on top of the biscuit base. Smooth out the top and grate some chocolate over it.
- Place the dish in the fridge to set, then enjoy!
